We got exactly what we expected from this hotel. A clean room near BC place that was a place to crash after the madonna concert.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and amusingly tiny. Previous post mentioned music from club next door and we heard it. I'm a light sleeper and could hear the base but still slept.
Extremely strong smell of cleaner in the hallways of our floor left us wondering what they may have cleaned up before we got there but whatever it was it got cleanred.
Band aids over the flashing light of the smoke detector showed a lack of attention by cleaning staff but that was the only issue in the entire room. If you don't like crowds or club goers avoid this hotel. Questionable area in the club district of Vancouver
Would not stay at this hotel with children due to the location and small rooms

We paid for 2 nights, and the 3rd night was free. The location was perfect! You could walk anywhere, if it wasn't so cold (We were there for New Year's 2007, and it was freezing). I would definitely stay there again.

Yes I would recommend this hotel to others. I found it to be excellent value. My room was very comfortable with every facility that I needed for my stay and well serviced everyday. Centrally placed in downtown it was ideal for walking & seeing all the attractions and very close to Sky Bus & other public transport. There are always a few odd characters hanging around the area but I never encountered any problems personally day or night. If I return to Vancouver I would certainly stay here again providing I could get a good deal on the price. Expectations were well met.

The staff was rude. Not just one of them, but all of them. The airport lost one of our bags, and the hotel refused to call us when the was delivered to the hotel from the airport. They had no safe in the room or behind the main desk. They told us the elevator was not working and we had to take the stairs, even though it was. (We found out after a man at the front desk sent a group of attractive girls up on the supposedly broken elevator.) The only saving grace of this hotetl is it's location on Granville St. You are right in the heart of the nightlife which is very convienent (but it also means it is very noisy at night if you are trying to sleep). This place was also overpriced. I would not recommend this hotel unless you got an amazing deal on a room.

Hotel room was decent. However it can get pretty crazy in the lobby around checking in/out time. But the staff was pleaseant.
On the third floor we could still hear the music from the club next door.
Very popular with people heading in/out on Cruises as well as those enjoying the party that is Granville.
