We came from out of town for a concert at the ACC and we found the hotel very nice. The room itself was small but we were only staying for the night so it suited us just fine. The desk clerk was very nice and recommended restaurants in the area for us to eat. The hotel and room were clean and very nicely decorated. We wanted a hotel close to the ACC so we could walk and we were 2 blocks away so we were very happy about that. We were also happy that we got to stay right downtown and not pay over a hundred bucks for the room. We would surely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to a friend.

The hotel location is great and for under $100 it was worth it. The hotel was nice and the service was good. The room was small and it was only a double bed that was not that comfortable. The room suited my needs though as I was only there one night for a concert. I would stay again for under $100 and I would recommend the hotel.

I stayed at the Strathcona on business in November 2008 and it was in a fabulous location in the heart of the financial district. The rooms are quite small and the amenities standard but the bang for your buck is great. The reception staff even printed some documents for me free of charge and gave me a late checkout at 1 pm. The hotel, although not a luxury hotel, was very good value for the room rate paid.

This is a good hotel in a great location in the downtown business district. It is close to the subway and train station. The room is satisfactory, but don't expect it to be very big. But it is clean. The bed is rather hard and the walls are thin, so this might be an issue during busy seasons. The staff is also not very friendly. But for ther price, this hotel is more than enough. I use this hotel all the time when I am in town for business. I have been back 3 times, so I would return for the same type of trip in the future.
