The hotel is simple, clean and has friendly, helpfull staff. It is conveniently located between Gare du Nord (Eurostar) and Montmatre's Sacre Coeur. The area is a bit on the dodgy side, but not dangerous.

At the time I booked with my girlfriend, it was the best value for money alternative and for the most part was well worth it.

My only caution -and in fairness in our rush to catch the train we did not have the time to let the staff know- was that someone did attempt -unsuccessfully- to open the lock of my girlfriend's suitcase. The hotel mentions they have safe deposits at the front desk, but we did not need it. However we did not expect to have our locks tampered.

Bottom line: well worth it, but might want to reconsider if you have any valuables.

The room itself is what you are paying for. The main attraction for the hotel is the good location. It is near the train station, metro, basilique of Sacred Hearts. Staff was helpful

Would recommend to others seeking a good budget hotel.
Reception was very good. Elevator slow and tiny. Breakfast adequte, weekend staff in breakfast room was surly and unhelpful, on weekday staff changed to an exceptionally helpful and cheerful lady. Close to two metro stations and Sacre Coeur. The double bed was in fact a narrow three quarter bed. Bathroom tiny but useable. Did not expect anything more except the narrow bed which no-one else had mentioned.

A good value in a decent area. Close to Sacre Couer and the Moulin Rouge. Stayed 2 nights, then spent a night elsewhere (Belgium) then back for 3 more. First room was decent enough. Second room was similar except bathroom door was broken and housekeeping forgot to give us fresh towels (or any for that matter.) Good luck getting any breakfast unless you get to the kitchen by 8 AM.

We stayed here for 4 days. We chose this as it was walking distance from where my niece lived. It also turned out to be couple of minutes walk from the sacre coeur church which was a pleasant surprise. Metro also couple of minutes walk away so good location. reception staff were helpful. The room and bedding was clean. there was trouble with the shower hot water on the first night but ok once it got going. breakfast was included but we gave it a miss after the first 2 days as not a lot of choice but plenty of eating places close by. we opted for chocolate crepes from little restaurant right opposite the steps of the church!
would stay there again.
