The 2-star Altona Hotel is perfect for visitors travelling to Paris in search of value-for-money accommodation. Located within walking distance of the Gare du Nord railway station, the hotel is equally close to Montmartre and Sacre Coeur Basilica. Owned and managed by two brothers, this family-run hotel greets guests with a friendly and personal welcome, and a mix of turn-of-the-century architecture combined with contemporary accommodation. The simply furnished rooms are equipped with bath/shower, telephone, satellite TV and hairdryer; public areas are limited but do include a small lounge area in reception and a spacious breakfast room where guests can enjoy a typically French continental breakfast.
les horaires du petit déjeuner (ouverture à 7h45) sont peu adaptés par rapport à une activité professionnelle.

The hotel was not at all what we expected. It was more like a hostel than anything. There was noise 24 hours a day, and it was located in an extremely seedy area, especially dangerous at night. When we arrived, the hotel staff claimed that they did not have a record of our reservation, and that all of the rooms were full. Fortunately, they figured it out; yet, we almost wish we had gone somewhere different. Definitely not worth the price. Do not stay here.
