The hotel will be closing in May 2009 for a $150 million restoration. They are restoring it to the 1940 era. Considering it is 111 yrs old, it was Wonderful. So much interior and exterior architectural detail. Very large rooms and high ceilings. If you love history and old style hotels YOU WILL LOVE THE BELLEVIEW! The staff is very customer detailed.The food is wonderful and very well priced. The Sunday Brunch is highly recommended. Pure class!!!!

Lvely rooms, high silings, beautiful furniture, old classc charm! Lovethe pool! Love the hospitaity. Although the roof is still looking poor, wait until you see the pics of what this WILL look like when they close for 2/5 years to but n a 1/4 of a billion $ into it! WOW! Hope I am still livingin FL to witness it! Close to the beach and just a peasant, no children running aound, classy place. Don let the roof fool you! DRINK the coffee in th ice cream prlor! Its complimentary and its illy from Italy!

Highly recommend this wonderful hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable with beautiful views. The food was good and the service was perfect. Our only disappointment was that the beach was a van drive away and that was a little inconvienent. Other than that is was fabulous, and we would definately return, without a doubt.

We loved everything about the hotel. The rooms were big, the beds were comfortable, the service was accomidating, the hotel was not too noisy or overcrowded. Our expectations were exceeded. It was more than a good value, it was an experience.
