Come to Hotel Sax Chicago and relax in an upscale, luxurious environment that is also warm and welcoming. Located in the heart of the famous Marina City development on the Chicago River, Hotel Sax Chicago was just named to Conde Nast Traveler’s 2008 Hot List, Hotel Sax Chicago based on its unique design, luxurious but unpretentious service, and hip urban scene. This newly renovated 353-room super-boutique hotel also offers an “urban resort” atmosphere, surrounding you with some of the best restaurants and musical entertainment and fitness venues in Chicago: right outside your door are Smith & Wollensky, the House of Blues concert venue, the upscale 10 Pin Bowling Lounge, the 25,000 sq. ft. Crunch Fitness, Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse, and BIN36 Wine Bar and Restaurant.

In addition, Hotel Sax has forged a unique partnership with Microsoft, to integrate technology experiences in the guest rooms, public areas and meeting spaces. Guests in special Entertainment Technology guestrooms, Junior and 1-Bedroom Suites can enjoy their favorite movies, music and electronic gaming experiences, all through the latest Microsoft technology. In the guest-only lounge, The Studio – A Microsoft Experience – guests relax and unwind with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while the hotel’s Studio Host tends to their entertainment needs, including a sizzling Guitar hero competition. Lastly, most guests find their way to the Hotel Sax lobby, to experience Chicago’s newest downtown nightspot, Crimson Lounge. Slouched in private seating areas and listening to live music or a DJ-driven beats five nights a week, guests take in the sumptuously designed and intimate atmosphere, eclectic cocktail menu and interesting appetizers until 2am.

Reviews of Hotel Sax Chicago Chicago

Review by: Justin, Rochester, United States

Customer Rating:

My room was great, it had a 42" plasma, king bed, floor to ceiling mirrors and a huge bathroom. Also, my floor (6th) had a game lounge. In the lounge they had free notebook computers that had internet access and 3 side by side TV's that had Xbox’s and PS2's available. I didn't even use this room, but I thought it was a great option to those who would enjoy this option!

I went to the bar on the first floor, and the drinks are reasonably priced for Chicago ($5 beers). Access to some great Chicago eats were only a block or two away. Directly across from the front lobby is House of Blues, so if you had tickets to an event there this of course is a perfectly situated hotel.

Go see the Hotel Sax for yourself next time you are in Chicago!

The hotel was undergoing renovation so there was a makeshift lobby on the 4th floor. Our room had been renovated and was very nicely appointed. The staff was extremely helpful & friendly.

Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The decor of HOB was unusual, not unpleasant, just unusual and one has to see it to describe it. Great location with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Parking was expensive but average for the area.

Customer Rating:

The House of Blues Hotel is an interesting place in a great location. We enjoyed our time there. It was clean and the VIP concert privledges at the HOB are great. However, there was a problem with our reservation and the front desk staff had no interest in making in correcting a mistake that was theirs - not ours. Their unwillingness to correct the problem and the rude and indifferent attitude, really detracted from what otherwise would have been a totally enjoyable stay. If you are looking to stay at an interestng place near the theatre disrict or headed for a concert at the HOB it's still a good choice. Poor service keeps it from being a great choice.
