Overall we really enjoyed the stay at the Hotel:

Pros:
Location,
Comfortable Bed,
Great Room Amenities,
Nice Modern Room with LCD TV.

Cons:
The doors to the Gym and Sauna were closed, but they were supposed to be open. I checked with the front desk and the staff said that somebody probably closed it because they had to go get lunch? While he did try to find the person, it does not make any sense! Why would he close the door to the gym and sauna?? Anyway, this was the only complaint I have

I would highly recommend this hotel for a lower cost option right on Michigan Ave. Even though it's a bit further south than most of the shopping, it's close to the museum campus. It was clean, quiet and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is very centrally located, right across Michigan Ave. from Grant Park. Just two blocks or so from the Red Line subway. One block east and then two blocks north is Thai Spoon and Sushi (located on the ground floor of the Travelodge), and it is very reasonable and rather good. Wireless internet was a mere $5.95 for our entire four-night stay. Wonderful gym andpool, and the Savoy restaurant (within the hotel) was also great service, good food, and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our stay!

We would for sure recommend this Hotel to others. It was clean, nicely decorated and everyone was so helpful and pleasant. It was an awesome value for the money. The restuarant on the premises served a wide variety of food and moderatly priced. All our expectations were met and much more.

Helpful, courteous front desk personnel, newly renovated rooms, 6 or 7 blocks from the center of action straight down Michigan Ave., but a nice, safe stroll, with good window shopping. The red line was a 3 block walk. Only down side...$36 for parking.
